Recently i saw my friend post the news he got into a metal band which is great and I'll make sure to review their shit as soon as it comes out, but it made me a little bit dissappointed in myself, cuz i always wanted to be in a band but never got a chance to. I would say im a pretty good vocalist, at least when it comes to certain band's styles. But i suck at playing songs, i have a classical guitar which i know is not the most metal isntrument but i tried learning it and after like 2 weeks of learning i felt like i made no progress, i struggle with even the most basic things! I watched a bunch of videos and read online and i still struggle, most of the time my strings buzz or dont't make a sound at all. Anyways i havent played in like a month and i would like an electric guitar but it would probably be the same... I also have a keyboard lying around somewhere and i think that sounds a bit easier, i know some bands like Children of Bodom and Emperor, as well as a lot of power metal bands utilize them. But i don't wanna start learning just to give up again. Also im wondering if anyone would even want a keyboardist in their band? Who knows man... Til that day comes I'll still try to train my vocals, a lot of vocalists only do that anyways and they kick ass!
